Lance Armstrong Foundation
Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, the LAF’s mission is to enhance the quality of survival of those diagnosed with cancer. Funds raised during the Tour of Hope cycling event will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation in support of community-based organizations conducting groundbreaking research to transform the way that cancer is detected and treated, and providing social service support to patients participating in studies.

National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship
NCCS is the oldest survivor-led cancer advocacy organization in the country and a highly respected authentic voice at the federal level, advocating for quality cancer care for all Americans and empowering cancer survivors. The NCCS web site contains “Palliative Care and Symptom Management,” a comprehensive guide to living with cancer, which includes information about clinical trials.
Cancer Advocacy Now!™ (CAN!)
Cancer Advocacy Now! (CAN!) is a grassroots legislative advocacy network that works every day to ensure that America’s 10 million cancer survivors and the millions more who care for them have a voice in advocating for quality cancer care in forums where health care policy is decided. This network provides information and builds skills that enable survivors to communicate with their legislators about the issues that impact their lives. Through education, CAN! is empowering cancer survivors to advocate for themselves, friends and family.

Oncology Nursing Society
The Oncology Nursing Society is a national organization of more than 30,000 registered nurses and other healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching, research, administration and education in the field of oncology.
